Meet The Team

Arcie Petty

Principal, M.A.P. Advisory

Arcie Petty is the founder of M.A.P. Advisory, a retirement, investment, insurance, and legacy planning firm dedicated to helping individuals and entrepreneurs pursue their financial goals. Rooted in a deep sense of service and inspired by his family’s personal experiences, Arcie launched M.A.P. Advisory to provide guidance to clients as they navigate complex decisions around pensions, benefits, and long-term financial wellness. His mission is to equip working- and middle-class families with the tools to build assets, manage risk, and plan for the next generation with clarity and confidence.

A experienced entrepreneur with a focus on identifying emerging opportunities, Arcie Petty embarked on his entrepreneurial journey with a clear vision: to support businesses in living out their mission. As the Co-Founder and Treasurer of A Better You, he supports initiatives that propel the company to the forefront of the non-profit industry. In addition, he is a certified volunteer with the American Medicare Disability Advocates.

Arcie’s diverse professional background infuses his ongoing work. A decade as an educator and department head highlighted his creative approach by invigorating ancient Latin and Greek curricula with project-based learning, skills mastery, and technological integration in North Carolina and New England. While teaching, he began to build a real estate portfolio to provide quality housing in urban areas where working-class families run the risk of getting priced out. After moving back to Cleveland, Arcie became a financial professional and business consultant, striving to merge his educational, investing, and entrepreneurial experiences to serve the community even more directly. As a business coach and consultant with JumpStart, he supports entrepreneurs in developing sustainable models and growing impact-driven ventures.

Arcie Petty holds a B.A. from Boston University and M.A. from Boston College both in Ancient Greek and Latin. He employs a historical, methodical, and integrative approach from his academic background in his pioneering real estate and entrepreneurial work. Professionally, he is FINRA Series 65 licensed and is a Registered Social Security Advisor.

In his free time, Arcie treasures time with his wife and four children; playing & watching a variety of sports; reading; avidly cooking; spending time on – and near – any body of water, especially for rowing; and other exercises in the gym, running around Cleveland, biking, and kayaking.

Communicate Progress

Wealth Management

Our goal is to help create income that lasts. We help build real-life, sustainable income plans for our clients that take all factors into account. Retirement shouldn’t be spent worrying about whether your money is going to last.

It’s supposed to be your time, focused on you and doing the things you enjoy with the people you love.

Retirement Savings Optimization

Retirement savings optimization involves a holistic strategy that balances aggressive saving during your working years with smart, tax-efficient withdrawal strategies in retirement.

Key steps include maximizing tax-advantaged accounts, diversifying investments, and strategically managing Social Security benefits.

Tax Planning

Benjamin Franklin said, “In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes” – We can’t control the first, but we can help you reduce the second.

Our clients enjoy a comprehensive review of their tax return, tax projections combined with proactive planning, tax reduction strategies, etc.

Social Security Optimization

Social Security optimization is about strategically timing when you claim benefits and coordinating with other income to maximize your lifetime payments.

Don’t leave money on the table. The decision of when to claim Social Security is complex and can significantly impact your retirement income. Common advice often oversimplifies this crucial choice.

Income Planning

Through our retirement planning process, we will review your current income situation and show you your potential income in retirement. We’ll work with you to create a sustainable income that will last for your life. We’ll help you understand your social security options and maximize the benefits for your situation.

If you have a pension, we will guide you through the options available and help you make the right choice. We’ll help prepare you for other considerations such as a premature death of a spouse, inflation or taxation.

    What’s a Risk Score?

Risk tolerance is an investor’s ability to remain invested during downward market cycles in exchange for a potential return.

It’s important that investors understand their risk tolerance so that they can help guide the design of their investment strategy. This approach looks to balance the investor’s desire for returns goals with their ability to stay confident and invested throughout market cycles.

To help investors understand their risk threshold we deploy a proprietary algorithm rooted in the well-known Value at Risk (VaR) measurement that helps us quantify their sentiment toward financial uncertainty, specifically their emotional tolerance with respect to the magnitude and speed of potential investment loss. This Analysis provides them with a VaR Score that can help determine if their existing portfolio aligns with their risk tolerance.

    Intelligent, Disciplined Investing
    with AssetLock

AssetLock is Simplicity Wealth’s proprietary, investment portfolio monitoring service that delivers personalized communications to advisors and investors in a secure environment.

This technology keeps investors informed about the progression of their portfolio in accordance with their risk tolerance determined by the investor’s household portfolio VaR Score.

AssetLock® is tracking software used to monitor the performance of a client’s household portfolio and predetermine the amount of downside the client is willing to tolerate. The AssetLock Threshold is the maximum percentage of the downside the investor is willing to accept inside the portfolio as determined by Simplicity’s proprietary risk scoring algorithm, which is based on a Risk Tolerance Questionnaire and Value at Risk (VaR) Analysis of the household and model portfolio(s). It is NOT an actual stop order and will NOT automatically sell the individual securities in the household portfolio.
